Whether its long lunches, alfresco afternoon drinks or dinner with friends, Tempus Two Graphite series has a white wine that pairs perfectly with people, food or the weather.
Starting with the classics, our Graphite Chardonnay is anything but. Fresh and fragrant, this wine is zesty with nectarine and white peach fruit aromas and subtle hints of oak. The aromas continue through to the palate resulting in a balanced, vibrant wine with a zippy, citrus finish. Enhanced when paired with fresh seafood or a creamy pasta, this wine is sure to brighten your mood and is a perfect dinner party option, especially when you’ve got a mixture of wine experts and wine lovers.
Next we have our Graphite Pinot Grigio. This grape varietal is continuing to grow in popularity due to its versatility and light flavours that make it oh so easy to drink. Made in the Italian-style (hence Grigio, not Gris, which is the French-style), this is a bright, refreshing white wine that has delicate citrus aromas that follow through to the palate and are complemented with white pear flavours and a vibrant, crisp finish. Delicious on its own, or an ideal option when you’re seeking a crowd-pleaser, our Graphite Pinot Grigio pairs perfectly with summer salads, fresh seafood or an Instagram-able cheese platter with all the trimmings.
The party starter and the traditional drink of Italy, you can’t have a party or any occasion that involves people without our Graphite Prosecco. Fresh, dry, vibrant bubbles, this wine is delicious when chilled on its own, or is the ultimate party-starter as it’s perfect in cocktails. From a classic Bellini, to an Aperol or Elderflower Spritz, or even a passionfruit martini – our Graphite Prosecco can take you from just a bottle of bubbles to hosting your own cocktail bar in your backyard.
Moving on to the exciting and emerging white wine varietals, this is where the Graphite range really takes it up a notch. Our Graphite Fiano (fee-ah-no) is crispy, zesty and delicious. This is a light-bodied, dry white wine that has delicate floral aromatics and pairs perfectly with roast chicken or richer seafoods like baked salmon or scallops. Still not convinced? If you’re a big fan of Pinot Grigio or Riesling, then this is right up your alley. This is the perfect wine if you’re looking to impress with your wine knowledge, or just look like you know what you’re talking about. Perfect for dinner with the in-laws or a long lunch with friends where you want to take the wine up a notch.
The final white in the range is our Graphite Gruner Veltliner (grew-ner velt-lee-ner). Quite a daunting name that could be a mouthful, but this is a wine you shouldn’t avoid if you can’t pronounce it – that just means it is really fancy. The name simply means “green wine”, of the Veltliner grape family. Originating in Austria, its only in recent years that this varietal has been growing in Australia. This white is a dry, light to medium-bodied wine that’s deliciously aromatic with pineapple and grapefruit flavours with zippy acidity. Incredibly food-friendly, it is a super versatile wine pairing well with sushi, sashimi, fresh cheese or Vietnamese. Occasion-wise, this is a must-try with friends and family so you can enjoy pronouncing it as much as drinking it.
Our Graphite Sangiovese (san-joh-vay-zeh) is our newest red in the range, and is a luscious, fruit-forward wine that has hints of vanilla and spice on the palate. Originating in Italy, it is the most widely-planted red grape in Italy, and is just starting to turn heads here in Australia. Medium-bodied, Sangiovese has high acid, with red fruit and black fruit flavours and is delicious when paired with tomato-based pasta dishes or barbequed meats. This wine is perfect for a first date or at a BYO dinner with friends.
Another exciting red in the range is our Graphite Grenache (gruh-nash). Whilst not a new wine to Australia (it’s been widely planted for many years), it is starting to come into its own as a single varietal after being more commonly known as the main varietal in GSM blends. Light to medium bodied, Grenache is similar to Pinot Noir, with delicious red fruit flavours of strawberry and plum, with subtle hints of white pepper and spice. Our Graphite Grenache is delicate and balanced with soft, velvety tannins and pairs perfectly with richer dishes or lighter dishes; think duck, pizza, or pork belly. Occasion-wise, this is a red that you can also enjoy chilled, so is the perfect tran-seasonal red.
Not forgetting the classics, the final red to round out the range is the Graphite Shiraz. A forever fan-favourite, our shiraz has intense aromas of blackberry and blueberry, with subtle savoury oak notes. This continues through to the palate, which has vibrant berry flavours which are balanced with the oak tones and a length finish. The ultimate winter warmer, our shiraz pairs well with hearty meals like steak, juicy burgers or grilled vegetables. It’s basically a hug in a glass so definitely drink this with friends.
